Statement of Principles   Corvallis Professional Firefighters   Local 2240 Statement of Principles   As members of the Corvallis Professional Firefighters Association, our fundamental duty is to serve the public, safeguard and preserve life and property against the elements of fire and disaster.   A Union’s strength is through united action, guided by integrity as well as intelligence. Believing in such unity is essential for the general well-being and advancement of our interests as fire fighters. For that, we have formed the Corvallis Professional Firefighters, and have affiliated with the International Association of Firefighters.                      The objectives of this local shall be:   To organize all Corvallis firefighters To insure the health and safety of its members To secure just compensation for its members To insure equitable settlement of their grievances To promote and secure a cooperative labor-management relationship To establish just and reasonable working conditions To achieve a high level of skill and efficiency To join together and promote friendship and fellowship among all   We strive for the highest standard within our profession, continually searching for the new and improved ways of sharing responsibilities, ideas, skills, and knowledge with our members and fellow co-workers.             Page Last Updated: May 13, 2009 (12:35:58)
